Sewing like a crazy person.....

The sewing bug has hit with a vengeance! (much like my allergies) My sewing machine has been calling to me and keeping me from any other meaningful work...what is a girl to do?

I've been working on many projects for Easter...but they are a surprise, so I'll be back with pictures soon.

Hope you're enjoying Spring wherever you are? Working on any new projects? I'd love to hear about them.....

Blessings

Have you EV ER seen a more talented bunch?

The family came in the for the weekend to celebrate a couple of birthdays.

Oldest daughter Holly, decided to tickle the ivories....but... she got a little "help".

Incredibly talented grand baby Emerson (middle) and her friend Riley, joined in...really, can't you just tell that they are going to be fabulous?

Retreat & refresh

RUTH!
WHO KNEW???

Our church held its woman's retreat this past weekend. Our study was led by Kelly Minter (fantastic) and was on RUTH. I'm sure I've read Ruth countless times but i never cease to be amazed that once again...its seems brand new. God is so good and he reveals freshness to us every day.

There were several times during the study I would have bet that Kelly was making this stuff up...but sure enough, back to THE book...and i'ts there. Amazing how being led by a wonderful teacher digs up new treasures, new nuggets for us to sink into.

It was great...refreshing...learned a ton...sing & worshipped, met some great new people...deeper friendships with some i already knew...slept...and of course ate!

A Sweet Find

Looking for a get away?

On my way to a college basketball game this weekend...a girlfriend and I stopped at this wonderful restaurant in Garrett County Maryland called Pen Alps.

The food is home style...homemade breads, soups ...yumm BUT my favorite, by far, is the artisan village.
Quaint old buildings have been rebuilt and craftsman work out of them. There is a B & B on site too!

I think it snows in Garrett county in July!...ok..not really...but they are working on 300 inches for this winter! So the summer might be a better bet..but WOW was it lovely when we stopped. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)
